Smurfit Kappa says to protect interests after Venezuela plant seizure

DUBLIN (Reuters) - Packaging company Smurfit Kappa Plc on Wednesday confirmed the temporary seizure of its Venezuelan plant by the government and the detention of two employees and said it would work to protect the interests of its stakeholders. Venezuela's state price control agency Sundde on Aug. 21 announced that the government had seized the plant and two days later said two managers at the plant had been arrested.
