Opportunities are Infinite
It is a kind of employment scam where they collect CVs of young individuals by posting adverts for hiring people for some high-earning overseas jobs, but in reality, there is no job.
They get the personal details and resumes, and they will contact you. Then, you get a message from someone who states they were considering you for the post.
The applicant is asked to fill in a form or a questionnaire, or the candidate is interviewed over the phone by an unknown person. After some time, the applicant is redirected to the employer's website and told they got the job. Then, once you get the offer, they contact you to arrange your travel and lodging abroad.
They try to pose as credible firms but seek a fee for making the arrangements. They ask for a copy of your IDS and visa.
As the target pays the money extracted as a visa administration fee, transportation fee, or accommodation deposit, they seek many different types of fees for making various arrangements, which are never made.
They will ask the victim to provide bank details to set up the salary and the mode of payment, and they use it to steal money from the account of the employee.
Some agencies ask job seekers to pay for a post but may not respond after getting the payment. Some may even give up their previous jobs to get a better one but are deceived by such agencies.
• If you are contacted by someone claiming to be a job provider or an agent who can get you a lucrative job for a small fee, deposit, or an overseas job for some initial payment.
• If the agency wants you to give all the personal and bank information over the phone, or they seek an administration or accommodation fee from the client.
Talk to the country's embassy where you expect to get a job and know about the total cost of accommodation and transportation. Also, try to find out about the local living conditions and total costs.
If you have been a victim – stop all communication and note all the activities and transactions made with the agency. Contact your bank to stop transferring money into the agent's account. Warn the operator and inform regulatory bodies.
Check all your bank statements if you have given your details to the agent.
Do not reply to emails written erratically – with poor grammar and spelling mistakes.
If you are offered any job from an organisation, check the firm's details on various platforms to find out if other clients reported any fraud against them.
Do not reply to emails that come from webmail addresses.
